By Hugh O’Brien: Jeffery Brown, a 26-year old special needs person, was stabbed earlier tonight in Belize City.
Police report that they responded to a stabbing report on Dolphin Street and upon arrival, they found a man dressed in a black shirt, a long jeans pants and wearing a reflector vest, in a sitting position and suffering from a single stab wound. The victim, identified as Jeffery Brown, was stabbed once to his left rib cage sometime around 7:00 pm while standing on Dolphin Street in Belize City. He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and was admitted in a stable condition.
Initial investigations reveal that Brown was approached by a male person armed with a knife who stabbed him for no reason. Residents in the area indicate that Brown was a victim of bullying when he visits the area.
No one has been arrested as yet but police are seeking a suspect for questioning.
