Moist and unstable conditions continue across the country according to the National Meteorological Service.
In the 24-hour forecast, skies will be cloudy with a few showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the northern and central coast and cayes, over the Orange Walk and Corozal districts this morning, then over inland areas this afternoon. Showers, periods of rain and thunderstorms will increase across the country tonight.
High temperatures are 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 86 degrees inland and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 75 degrees along the coast; 72 degrees inland and 65 degrees in the hills.
Winds are from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots. Sea state is moderate to rough with waves of four to seven feet. A small craft caution remains in effect for gusty winds and rough seas near heavy showers or thunderstorms. A flood watch remains in effect for the possibility of localized flooding over low-lying and flood prone areas across the country.
Tides will be high at 9:51 this morning and 11:37 this evening and low at 5:30 this afternoon. The sun sets at 6:23 this evening and rises at 5:17 Wednesday morning.
For Wednesday and Wednesday night expect showers, periods of rain and thunderstorms to continue around the country.
