COVID-19 update: 122 new cases reported; Dangriga sees jump

By Aaron Humes: A further 122 new cases of COVID-19 were reported countrywide against 96 new recoveries.

Belize now stands at 1,154 active cases with 179 samples under further investigation.

Hospitalizations stayed the same at five and no new deaths were recorded.

Belize City added 36 new cases of 53 in mainland Belize District, with a further nine in San Pedro Town.

Dangriga added 19 new cases, Sarawee six and Hope Creek one of 29 in Stann Creek District.

Among Cayo’s 14 new cases, six were in Greater Belmopan and six in San Ignacio/Santa Elena.

Orange Walk District added 11 new cases, Toledo five and Corozal one.
