“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Belize partnered with the Republic of Slovakia to secure the procurement of 124,800 doses of the Pfizer pediatric vaccine,” said the GOB Press Office.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education on Monday, started vaccinating children ages 5 to 11 against COVID-19. The vaccination is being carried out in the country’s primary schools. However, the pediatric vaccines are also available at the usual vaccinating sites countrywide as well.

The MOHW said it expects to vaccinate 73,000 children countrywide.
