The men were arrested and charged after police found them in a car with a stolen laptop valued at $1,400 and a laptop bag valued at $300, which were the property of police Sergeant Collin Ireland.
The men pleaded not guilty and were offered bail in the sum of $1,500 each plus one surety of the same amount which they were all able to meet. They are scheduled to return to court on July 29, 2022.
Sergeant Ireland reported that on Friday, May 27, he parked his vehicle in the yard of a Belize City restaurant and went inside. He said that around 10:00 p.m. he noticed a light on in his vehicle and when he investigated, the three men were sitting in a car in the restaurant parking lot with the stolen laptop in the vehicle.
