Posted: Wednesday, June 1, 2022. 1:15 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: This week, MoneyInc, a financial website based in the USA highlighted Belize as one of the cheapest countries to retire in the world.

The article noted that Belize offers retirees a host of attractive benefits, not least the chance to live in a stunning, English-speaking country blessed with one of the most gorgeous coastlines in Central America.

In addition, ex-pats can visit and enjoy the rich and diverse culture, food, and events.

“While prices vary on the location in the country, ex-pats can live very comfortably on USD $1000 per month,” the article stated.

The article also briefly described Belize’s qualified retirement program which was created to facilitate eligible persons who have met the income requirements, to permanently live and retire and relax in Belize.

Other countries in the world that were recommended include Columbia, Vietnam, Mexico, and Ecuador among others.
