Couple charged with possession and intent to supply weed in parcels

By BBN Staff: A drug bust in Belize City on Tuesday led to charges for 33-year-old Burley Card and 26-year-old Kendra Dennison, respectively of Cadle Alley and Mile 8 George Price Highway.

Card and Dennison are jointly charged with possession of controlled substances, specifically 263.9 grams of marijuana (9.3 ounces or about half a pound) with intent to supply same.

Card and Dennison each pleaded not guilty and met bail of $1,500.

Police searched a residence at Cadle Alley and recovered a transparent plastic bag containing 16 other plastic bags, each with suspected marijuana inside. A further parcel containing the drug was found in a plastic wrap nearby.

The couple returns to court on August 3, 2022.
