COVID update: Gap in new cases versus recoveries narrows again

By Aaron Humes: After a spike of new cases yesterday, the number of new COVID-19 cases went down today to 129 against 100 new recoveries.

That limits the net increase in cases to 29, making it 1,243 active cases with 118 samples under investigation.

Only two persons remain hospitalized with no new deaths reported.

50 new cases were reported in Belize City of 63 across mainland Belize District with an additional 13 in San Pedro Town.

Cayo added 28 new cases including eight in Greater Belmopan and six in San Ignacio/Santa Elena.

The northern districts added 13 total cases including seven in Orange Walk Town, while the southern districts added 12.
