By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Employers and employees around the world found new ways to adjust to working during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of those included work-from-home duties and online communication.

BBCWorklife reports that many workers have said that they would quit if employers forced them back to the office.

A survey by a global recruiting firm, Robert Half revealed that 50% of US workers would rather resign than be forced back to the office full-time.

Last month, Apple’s director of machine learning, Ian Goodfellow, resigned over the return-to-office policy when the company began bringing back workers 1 day per week, then 2 days, and moving up to 3 days in May.

In addition, a survey of Apple employees showed that 76% of respondents were dissatisfied with the company’s return-to-office plans; 56% said they’d consider resigning over it.

Experts say that there may be plenty more workers wanting to leave their jobs because of undesirable work policies who haven’t done so yet.
