Relatively moist and unstable conditions linger over the area according to the National Meteorological Service.
Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells along with a few showers and thunderstorms developing mainly inland and over the north this afternoon and evening. Partly cloudy tonight with a few showers or thunderstorms mainly offshore and over southern coastal areas.
High temperatures are 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 92 degrees in inland areas and 84 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 76 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills.
Winds are westerly at 10 to 20 knots. The sea will be choppy with waves of three to five feet.
A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near thunderstorms. A flood watch remains in effect for low-lying and flood prone areas mainly in the south today.
Tides will be high at 11:46 this morning and low at 7:35 this evening. The sun will set at 6:24 this evening and rise at 5:17 Saturday morning.
The outlook for Saturday is for mainly fair conditions with only isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms developing.
