Steven Flowers walks from assault charge after witness is a no-show

By BBN Staff: Steven “Fats” Flowers, 29, a resident of Pinks Alley in Belize City walked away from court a free man today after a witness with an assault charge against him failed to show up for testimony in court.

Flowers was charged with threatening words and aggravated assault after an incident with an 18-year-old girl. The complainant was served with a witness summons on two occasions prior but never showed up to court.

On Friday, once again she did not show up to court and Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson dismissed the charges against Flowers.

In 2021, Flowers walked from a murder charge in the death of Leon Gentle, who was stabbed to death in Belize City. Flowers is also currently out on bail in relation to an alleged attack on a man in Belize City.
