By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize City Council is continuing with the installation of new solar powered lights at the Flag Monument.

The City Council said the solar lights are “an environmentally friendly solution to lighting up this public space”.

The lights should help brighten the very busy area as it is usually very dark at night.

The Flag Monument is at the roundabout located at the Northern entrance to Belize City normally referred to as the Pallotti junction because of Pallotti High School which is right next to it.
