By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Libertadores FC defeated Concepcion Consentidos 4-3 on Saturday to win the Corozal Mayor’s Cup organized by the Corozal Football Association in collaboration with the Football Federation of Belize.

Shedrick Swaso scored a hat-trick in the 12’,59’, 80’ at the Santiago Ricalde Stadium on Saturday night, according to Martin Vasquez of the Corozal Football Association (CFA) and FFB Competitions Director. Ernesto Sho scored the other goal in the 27’.

Reiner ‘Wingi’ Santoya scored a brace in the 13’ and 74’ for Concepcion Consentidos. Oscar Torres got the other goal.

Vasquez said that Mayor Rigo Vellos was on hand for the trophy ceremony after the final, along with Alberto Vellos, Corozal Sports Council Chairman; Baltazar Chan, CFA Exec member; Earl Jones, FFB General Secretary; Miguel Alcoser, Vice-chairman CFA; Jose Mai (not the Minister), CFA staff; and Damion Johnson, CFA administrator.
