By Rubén Morales Iglesias: San Pedro Pirates beat Rumberas 3-1 in NAWL A at San Pedro’s Ambergris Stadium on Saturday, June 4 in Week 9.

Olivia Dacosta scored in the 37’ and 85’ while Tamara Baptist converted in the 71’.

Roshanny Narváez hit Rumberas’ only goal in the 69’ tying the game at that moment at 1-1.

Despite the loss, Rumberas are still in second position with 11 points from seven games, but now trail leaders Jewel Fury by five points. They have one more point than both the Sagitun GIRLZ, who are third, and the San Pedro Pirates, who are fourth. Sagitun, however, have one game less.

Rumberas will tackle Jewel Fury on Saturday. The San Pedro Pirates will rest on the weekend.
