Belize to play El Salvador on Tuesday in Central American Under 15 Girls Championship

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under 15 Belize Girls National Football Team (BGNT) will play against El Salvador today Tuesday at 2:00 pm in San José, Costa Rica in the U15 FIFA FORWARD UNCAF Championship.

This is Belize’s first game in the championship which started on Sunday when invited guests, the Dominican Republic defeated El Salvador 2-1 in Group A.

In group B, Costa Rica routed Honduras 4-1 while invited guests Puerto Rico beat Nicaragua 3-2.

The Belize game against El Salvador at the José Joaquín Coyella Fonseca Stadium was originally scheduled for 4:00 pm but Guatemala’s withdrawal caused the organizers to only use one stadium and to make changes to the schedule.

The games are now playing at 2:00 pm, 4:30 pm, and 7:00 pm.

This is the first official international game for the U15 Belize Girls National Team. Their second game will be against the Dominican Republic at 2:00 pm on Thursday.
