BREAKING: Dead body recovered from Orange Walk Pied Monte Cemetery

By Aaron Humes: The official resting place of the dead in Orange Walk Town welcomed an unexpected visitor sometime between overnight and this morning.

According to police, someone passing by the Piedmonte Cemetery on Cemetery Road, downtown Orange Walk, saw the body of a brown-skinned man in 3/4 khaki pants and nothing else, face-up on a tomb inside a mausoleum.

Police were called and retrieved the body, which was observed with an undetermined type of injury to the back of the head.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled and the body has yet to be officially identified. Police investigations continue.
