Prime Minister John Briceno departs for IX Summit of the Americas

By BBN Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister informs that Prime Minister John Briceño departed the country, today, to Los Angeles, California, U.S.A., to attend the IX Summit of the Americas from June 8-10, 2022.

According to a statement from the Government of Belize Press Office, PM Briceno is accompanied by Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade & Immigration, and Ambassador Stuart Leslie, Cabinet Secretary.

The Prime Minister and his delegation return to Belize on June 11, 2022.

During his absence, Cordel Hyde, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum & Mining will act as Prime Minister.
