Belize Weather: Showers on the increase

Moist and unstable conditions prevail according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be cloudy in spells with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms countrywide, decreasing this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will redevelop particularly along the coast tonight.

High temperatures are 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 95 degrees in inland areas; and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 81 degrees along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 10 to 20 knots. The sea will be moderate with waves of four to six feet.

Tides will be low at 11:07 this morning and 11:20 this evening and high at 4:47 this afternoon.

The sun sets this evening at 6:26 and rises at 5:17 Thursday morning.

A few showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect the country on Thursday especially in the north and along the coast.
