The Haitians, Antione Joseph Mithon, 32; Nicholson Fontilus, 20; Peter Mianovich Berlus, 19; Anderson Petit-Frere, 18; Steevenson Jacquet, 24; and Oriol Jean, 18, were last seen on Monday afternoon when they reportedly turned in the keys to their hotel rooms.  The men left all their personal belongings behind.

In a statement, the Special Olympics said 5 of the men “are not Special Olympics athletes” and 1 “is an adult with an intellectual disability.”

The Special Olympics also said, “the well-being of these delegates is our foremost concern.”
