By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Under 15 Belize Girls National Football Team (BGNT) will today face the Dominican Republic in the U15 FIFA FORWARD UNCAF Championship at the José Joaquín Coyella Fonseca Stadium in San José, Costa Rica.
The U15 BGNT fell 0-7 to El Salvador in their first official international game on Tuesday.
Going by the first group game on Sunday when the Dominican Republic defeated El Salvador 2-1, today’s opponents are even tougher than the Salvadorans, so our girls must tighten up to avoid a similar score.
El Salvador closed Group A with three points. The Dominican Republic have three, with the possibility of making six, while Belize don’t have any with the possibility of making three.
Today’s match kicks off at 2:00 pm.
In Group B on Tuesday, Costa Rica won their second game by a 4-1 score as they trounced Puerto Rico like they had done with Honduras two days before. Honduras and Nicaragua drew 1-1 on Tuesday. While Honduras had fallen to Costa Rica, Nicaragua had also lost 2-3 to Puerto Rico.
