Belize Weather: Fair weather predicted heading into weekend

According to the National Meteorological Service, skies will be mostly sunny today and partly cloudy tonight. Showers will be isolated, along with the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing inland this afternoon and over the extreme south tonight.

High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 93 degrees inland and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 81 degrees along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots and gusty. The sea will be moderate to rough with waves of four to seven feet. A small craft caution is in effect for occasional gusty winds and locally rough seas.

Tides will be low at 1:14 this afternoon, then high at 7:22 this evening. The sun sets at 6:27 this evening and rises at 5:17 Saturday morning.

Saturday sees generally fair weather to prevail, with isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms developing.
