By Aaron Humes: The Government is seeking support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for the continued work of the Good Governance Unit and People’s Constitutional Committee.

Henry Charles Usher, Minister of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform, and Religious Affairs, spoke to Denise Antonio, UNDP Resident Representative in Belize about how UNDP can actively support the growth and development of the unit.

Over the last 40 years, UNDP has been active in supporting the people and Government of Belize in the pursuit of national development goals and objectives. Mrs. Antonio assured the minister that this support would continue.

The Unit is intended to oversee the implementation of good governance practices and measures in the Public Service.
