Rumberas challenge champs Jewel Fury today at Independence in NAWL A

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Rumberas host their archrivals Jewel Fury on Saturday at 3:00 pm at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence in the National Amateur Women’s League A.

Jewel Fury are the team that Rumberas have had the most problems with in the NAWL repeatedly losing to them. In Round One, Fury won 1-0. Today is another opportunity for Rumberas to regain some of the confidence lost over the last few games but it’s not going to be easy because Fury are playing like never before.

Going into the playoffs, Jewel Fury lead the NAWL A with 16 points from seven games while Rumberas have 11 from seven in second place. The Sagitun GIRLZ and the San Pedro Pirates trail with ten points. However, the Sagitun GIRLZ have only played six games.

The Verdes Rebels have only one point and will be relegated to NAWL B.
