Verdes Rebels Girls host Sagitun GIRLZ in NAWL A in San Ignacio on Sunday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Verdes Rebel Girls are hosting the Sagitun GIRLZ at 3:00 pm on Sunday at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio in the NAWL A.

The Verdes Rebels have struggled this season having earned only one point in seven matches.

“Join us home this Sunday at the Norman Broaster Stadium as we welcome our Southern Sisters, Sagitun Girls! This will be our final game to close off this season guys so don’t miss out!!” said the Verdes Rebels on social media.

Though on paper it appears easy, the Sagitun GIRLZ are not confident that they can just roll into the Norman Broaster and take the win.

“Off we go!! To the West it is!! Our ladies travel to the beautiful Cayo District where we’ll be faced with a tough Verdes squad. We’re hungry, we’re focused!! We are Definitely Determined!! One game at a time!!” said the Sagitun GIRLZ.

The Sagitun GIRLZ are in the hunt for second place. Right now, they have 10 points from six games. They trail Rumberas by one point but with one game less. At the same time, they are ahead of the San Pedro Pirates, their next rivals, by one.

A win against Verdes will put them in the driver’s seat against both Rumberas and the San Pedro Pirates.

For Verdes, a good showing is a matter of pride to close the season well.
