COVID-19 vaccinations for 5–11-year-olds continues in the Belize District this week

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Central Health Region (CHR) is continuing its COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5 to 11 at schools throughout the Belize District this week.

Vaccinations at the different schools and mobile sites are being administered starting at 9:00 am and ending by 3:00 pm.

On Monday, June 6, vaccinations were administered from Mile 8 to Mile 25, Freetown Sibun, Gracie Rock Mobile Clinic, Crooked Tree Government School, Biscayne Government School, Mother of Mercy Montessori School, and at St John Vianney RC School.

On Tuesday, June 14, vaccinations will be held at St John Vianney RC School, Queen St. Baptist Primary School, Horizon Academy, and the Bernice Yorke Institute of Learning in Belize City.

On Wednesday, June 15, vaccinations will be administered at St Mary’s Anglican Primary School, Stella Maris School, Our Lady of Lourdes RC School, and the Lucky Strike Government School.

On Thursday, June 16, the Central Health Region will conduct vaccinations at the Burrell Boom Mobile Clinic, St Luke’s Methodist Primary School, Queen St Baptist Primary School, Mahogany Heights Primary School, St Agnes Anglican Primary School, and the Pilgrim Mennonite Primary School.

On Friday, June 17, the Central Health Region will conduct vaccinations at St Luke’s Methodist Primary School.

The Central Health Region said their fixed vaccination sites remain open from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm from Monday to Friday. The Central Health Region, next to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, and Matron Roberts also open on Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
