By Aaron Humes: Carlos Burn Junior must pay more than $1,800 in fines after admitting to possession of a total of 165 grams of marijuana.
Burn of Belama Phase 3 was charged along with one Tatiana Alvarado and two Caye Caulker residents, Carlos Enrique Martin and Lexie Hernandez for a bust made on June 9. They were represented by attorney Bryan Neal.
Burn pleaded guilty to possession of 53 grams or 1.87 ounces of the drug and was fined $800 due by August 31, in default six months’ imprisonment.
On the joint charge of possession of controlled drugs for 112 grams or nearly 4 ounces, Burn pleaded down to simple possession and was fined a further $1,000 due by September 30, in default ten months’ imprisonment.
However, the charges were not withdrawn from the other accused. They were offered and met bail and must return to court on August 10.
