Police woman and three men detained in Orange Walk for possession of drugs, unlicensed guns, ammunition, and bulletproof vests

By BBN Staff: A female police officer and three men have been detained, pending charges, after police found a cache of weapons, ammunition, drugs, and bulletproof vests were found during the search of a house in Orange Walk.

Police say that the joint operation that led to the discovery, took place on Tuesday around 5:40 a.m. The search was conducted at the police woman’s house, and officers found the three men inside one of the rooms.

During the search, officers found two bags that contained: four 4, black, Glock brand magazines each containing 15 .9mm live rounds of ammunition; an ammunition box containing 20 live .9mm rounds; a black magazine containing 13 live rounds of ammunition; a cigarette pack which had in 23 live round.40 caliber ammunition; three AR magazines containing a total of 23 live rounds of .223 ammunition and 13 live rounds of 5.56 caliber ammunition; one .9mm pistol with no magazine, a .40 caliber pistol with an extended magazine containing 26 live rounds, an M-4 rifle with 23 live rounds of .223 ammunition, three bulletproof vests, several military fatigues, and 9.7 grams of cocaine.

Police Commissioner Chester Williams commented on the bust earlier, stating that the female officer had been previously charged with possession of over 20 pounds of marijuana, stressing that he does not think she will be able to get off without being punished this time.
