Police find shotgun during search in Caye Caulker

By Benjamin Flowers: Caye Caulker police have taken an unlicensed shotgun off the street following a search earlier today.

Police say that they conducted a search around 11:15 a.m. of an abandoned two-story cement structure on Avenida Pueblo Nuevo Street.

During the search, the offices found a 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun under an old mattress.

No one was found in the immediate area at the time. As a result, police sealed, labeled, and deposited the 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun as found property.
