By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Mother of seven and grandmother to 17, Cheryl McGregor, 61, ready to have a baby with 24-year-old husband Quran McCain, the 37-year gap notwithstanding.
The couple from the state of Georgia in the United States have been in the public limelight as they live-streamed their wedding to 20,000 followers last September after they eloped in Tennessee with two friends.
According to the New York Post, the odd couple has more than 2.2 million followers on their @kingqurannewpage TikTok page.
They got married last September two months after Quran proposed to her with a ring that was Crowdfunded by his online fans.
But don’t go getting ideas. Though they say their sex life is ‘amazing’, Cheryl is not about to get pregnant.
“Of course, because of my age we’ll have to get a surrogate or adopt which we’re looking into,” Cheryl said.
According to the Post, Quran met Cheryl when he was 15. That was in 2012 when he was working at a Dairy Queen restaurant owned by her son Chris in Rome, Georgia.
Incidentally, Belizean footballer Deon McCaulay has been playing for the Rome Gladiators.
Getting back to the McCains, Quran lost track of Cheryl but met her again on November 4, 2020, when she was working at a convenience store. The Post said they began dating and got married last September.
But since they only had their two friends with them at the time, they want to do it all over again so more friends can attend.
But not everyone seems to be in agreement with the relationship. Only three of Cheryl’s children reportedly approve. Quran’s family is said to be more accommodating, said the New York Post.
