BREAKING: One man murdered, another injured as group of men were shot at early Saturday morning in Belize City

By BBN Staff: A 26-year old man is dead after a lone gunman fired at a group of men in Belize City just after midnight.

Police say that around 12:15 am, they received information of a shooting incident that occurred on 6th Street in the Kings Park area of the City. Personnel from the Crime Investigation Branch (CIB) visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where they found 26-year old Jeffery Buller and 28-year-old Akeem Bermudez with gunshot injuries. Buller had a gunshot wound to the neck and Bermudez had a gunshot wound to the right hand. Jeffery Buller succumbed to his injuries shortly after 1:00 am on Saturday morning while Bermudez remains hospitalized in a stable condition.

Initial investigation reveal that early on Saturday morning, Jeffrey Buller, Akeem Bermudez and others were purchasing food at Wong Jok Restaurant on 6th Street, Kings Park, when a lone assailant fired several shots at them. Both Buller and Bermudez were injured and were rushed to the KHMH.

The crime scene was visited and several expended shells was found.
