Six-year-old boy from Maskall electrocuted

By Alexis Milan: A six-year-old boy from Maskall Village, Belize District was electrocuted on Friday night.

According to police, Marvin Jose Lopez, 6, was at home with his parents when he was electrocuted by electricity from the house. His father went to a neighbor a few houses down to seek help to transport the child to a hospital.

Lopez was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital but died while receiving medical attention. He was pronounced dead at 7:45 p.m. A post mortem will be done.
