By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The National Hurricane Center (NHC) says that Tropical Depression Celia located just 80 miles south-southwest of San Salvador, El Salvador will throw heavy rains over southern Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
Celia is the 3rd named storm of the Pacific Hurricane Season.
NHC notes that some areas may see 2 to 4 inches of rainfall, with isolated maximum amounts of 8 inches.
Flash flooding and mudslides across the region are possible due to heavy rainfalls.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 miles per hour with higher gusts. A little change in strength is forecast for the next several days.
