Belize Electricity Limited launches essay competition for primary school students

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has launched an essay competition for primary school students. 

The essays must be based on the 2022 safety and health week, “Every Life Counts! Be Responsible. Be Alert. Buckle Up. Obey Safety Rules.”

Students in Standards 4, 5, and 6 are invited to participate and explain what the theme means to them in an essay.

Nine prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from each Standard:

1. 1st Place wins a laptop + $1,000,+ $2,000 for your school
2. 2nd Place wins a laptop +$750
3. 3rd Place wins a laptop + $500

Essays should be a maximum of 500 words and submitted electronically by Friday, July 8, 2022, to [email protected].
