Benjamin Hyde, father of reputed gang leader, shot dead on King Street, Belize City

By Aaron Humes: Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident in Belize City.

Benjamin Hyde, 49, a security guard, was shot dead on King Street between East Canal and Albert Street around three this afternoon. He was riding a beach cruiser bicycle from East Canal toward Albert Street when he was shot.

Benjamin Hyde is the father of reputed gang leader Christopher Hyde.

Police investigations continue and they are said to be on high alert.
