San Ignacio gas station attendant robbed at gunpoint

By Benjamin Flowers: There was an armed robbery at the Kontiki Gas Station in San Ignacio Town, Cayo.

The pump attendant of the Kontiki Gas Station reported to police that, while on his shift, two men rode up on a red 250 motorcycle and one of them pointed a firearm at him, demanding money.

Fearing for his life the attendant turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and the men rode off.

Police have made checks in the surrounding area but have thus far been unsuccessful in locating the culprits.

Officers are preparing to review surveillance footage as part of an ongoing investigation.
