Barbados Prime Minister, Mia Mottley tests positive for COVID-19

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Office of the Prime Minister of Barbados has issued a statement saying that Mottley has a mild case and she has indicated that she is doing well.

PM Mottley will remain at home until otherwise determined, the statement said.

Last week, PM Mottley hosted a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Jamaica Gleaner reports.

Mottley is the latest CARICOM leader to test positive for the virus.

Regional leaders including Belize’s Prime Minister, John Briceno had previously tested positive for the virus.
