The National Meteorological Service projects cloudy skies with some outbreaks of showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain due to a passing tropical wave.
High temperatures today reach 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 87 degrees inland and 78 degrees in the hills. Low temperatures will reach 78 degrees along the coast; 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 15 to 20 knots and gusty. The sea will be moderate to rough with waves of five to seven feet. The Corozal and Orange Walk Districts are under flood warning while the rest of the country is under flood watch. A small craft caution remains in effect for coastal waters.
Tides will be low at 8:58 this morning and 9:52 this evening and high at 2:56 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at 6:29 this evening and sunrise on Tuesday morning is at 5:19.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect the country on Tuesday.
