By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Central Health Region (CHR) is continuing its COVID-19 vaccinations for children ages 5 to 11 at schools throughout the Belize District this week.
Vaccinations at the different schools and mobile sites are being administered starting from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
On Monday, June 20, vaccinations were administered at the Hattieville Government School, the Hattieville Seventh Day Adventist School, and the St Agnes Primary School in Burrell Boom.
On Tuesday, June 21, vaccinations will be held at the Double Head Cabbage Health Center, Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic School in Sand Hill, St Martin de Porres Primary School, and Trinity Methodist Primary School in Belize City.
On Wednesday, June 15, vaccinations will be conducted at St Ignatius RC Primary School and St Martin de Porres in Belize City and the Mobile Clinic will be visiting Lucky Strike, and Rock Stone Pond 1 & 2.
The Central Health Region said their fixed vaccination sites remain open from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm from Monday to Friday. The Central Health Region, next to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, and Matron Roberts also open on Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
