COVID-19 update: Average of 90 new cases per day reported over weekend

By Aaron Humes: Belize reported 270 total new cases of COVID-19 countrywide over the weekend according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

There are 1,910 active cases and seven persons hospitalized but no new deaths to report.

The Belize District reported 110 new cases including 69 in Belize City and 10 in San Pedro Town; the Cayo District reported 75 including 22 in San Ignacio/Santa Elena and 16 in Belmopan.

There were 40 new cases in the North including 10 in Orange Walk Town. Down South, 45 new cases were reported including 15 in Punta Gorda Town.
