By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Institute of Archaeology (NICH) Belize said earlier on Tuesday that the Nohoch Che’en Archaeological Reserve at Caves Branch is now open to visitors.
“The river level at the Nohoch Che’en Reserve has receded 10 inches in the past three hours,” said the Institute of Archaeology (NICH) Belize about the reserve that is very popular for cave tubing.
“The reserve is now open for visitation.”
The Institute of Archaeology (NICH) Belize said that all other archaeological reserves are open adding that it will continue to monitor river conditions and provide necessary updates.
“Please continue to exercise caution at all times and adhere to all COVID19 regulations,” said the Institute of Archaeology (NICH) Belize.
