Conditions are becoming drier over the area according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be mostly sunny and cloudy at times tonight. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated, except for a few more occurring over southern areas tonight.

High temperatures will hit 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 93 degrees in inland areas and 77 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 77 degrees along the coast; 72 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northeasterly at five to 15 knots and gusty. The sea will be light chop to rough with waves of two to seven feet. A flood watch remains in effect for the possibility of flooding due to elevated river levels. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Tides will be low at 11:44 this morning and 11:23 tonight and high at 5:38 this evening. The sun sets at exactly half-past six this evening and will rise on Thursday at 5:19.

Thursday brings similar weather conditions.
