However, there may be spread to the region as travel returns to some form of normalcy.
Monkeypox is a rare disease caused by infection with the monkeypox virus symptoms include rashes, fever, headaches, muscle ache, swelling, and back pain.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is today hosting an expert meeting to determine if the disease warrants being declared a global emergency.
Around the globe, cases have soared to over 3,000 and health experts are also looking at changing the name of the disease citing that it is stigmatizing and discriminatory.
