Mexican officials: U.S. plans to offer 300,000 work visas for Mexicans and Central Americans

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Wednesday, Mexico’s interior minister noted that the United States plan to offer 300,000 work visas to Mexicans and Central Americans, Reuters report.

The Minister said that there are ongoing discussions with the U.S. Government and they have agreed to issue 300,000 temporary work visas, half of which will be for Mexicans.

The other half will be given to other Central Americans.

In an attempt to further strengthen relations, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is scheduled to meet with U.S. President, Joe Biden next month.
