Sleeping policeman who brought traffic to a halt in Ladyville placed on interdiction

Posted: Thursday, June 23, 2022. 6:24 am CST.

By BBN Staff: On Wednesday a disturbing video of a policeman who was found sleeping in the middle of the highway in Ladyville went viral on social media.

The officer identified as Police Constable Balmory Amaya apparently fell off his motorcycle as he was allegedly under the influence. The incident caused a commotion in Ladyville as many drivers used their vehicles to block the highway in an attempt to protect PC Amoya and his motorcycle.

The Police Department acted quickly and placed PC Amaya on interdiction for being “observed in possession of a motorcycle on the Philip Goldson Highway whilst apparently under the influence of drinks or drugs laying down on the highway oblivious to what was going on. Furthermore, your condition and presence on the highway temporarily obstructed the free traffic.”

Sarcastically speaking, PC Amaya sleeping on the highway acted as true Sleeping Policeman, not only slowing down but actually stopping traffic.
