Taximan shot to death inside his vehicle

By Aaron Humes: Police have not established what business called 59-year-old Paul Panton to Hart Street, a side street in the Lake Independence area this morning where he was murdered on Friday morning.

Panton was working out of the Cinderella Plaza Taxi Stand on Freetown Road and left sometime after six a.m. in his Toyota 4-Runner.

His body, riddled with gunshot wounds, was found inside the vehicle, in a drain off the street side.

Investigations continue.
