By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Forecasters are closely monitoring 2 tropical disturbances in the Atlantic.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) notes that cloudiness and showers have become a little more concentrated near a tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean.
A tropical depression could form early next week. This system is forecast to approach the Windward Islands on Tuesday, and move into the southeastern Caribbean Sea by Wednesday. It has a 60% chance of formation in the next 5 days.
And, in the northwest Gulf of Mexico, an area of low pressure could form early next week over the northern Gulf of Mexico.
The NHC notes that development of this system would likely be slow to occur as it drifts westward toward the northwestern Gulf of Mexico.
