Belizean officer concludes commissioning course at Taiwan Air Force Academy 

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: In 2018,  Second Lieutenant Luigi Perrera was selected to attend training at the Taiwan Air Force Academy. 

He is the first and currently the only Belizean that has studied at the Taiwanese Air Force Academy.

The course consists of 4 years of study and at the conclusion, each student receives a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the Department of Aviation Management. 

Perrera was also commissioned to Second Lieutenant.

His stellar performance has qualified him for an additional year, where he will attend basic pilot training, flying the Air Force’s T-34 aircraft.
