Commissioner of Police confirms drug plane landing in Southern Belize

By Aaron Humes: This evening, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams informed the press that a suspected drug plane landed over the weekend in Southern Belize.

“[While] I can confirm at this time that the plane did land, due to security reason for our troops in the area I am unable to facilitate your request at this time,” the Commissioner added in reference to interview requests.

He pledges “to provide [the press] with the interview tomorrow,” that is, Tuesday.

We await that event and note that this is the first confirmed landing for some months.
