Prime Minister John Briceño heads Belizean delegation to the United Nations Oceans Conference in Lisbon, Portugal

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Prime Minister John Briceño is heading a Belizean delegation to the United Nations (UN) Oceans Conference being held in Lisbon, Portugal.

According to the Ministry of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation (MBECA), Belize will be represented at important bilateral meetings and interactive discussions throughout the entire week.

The delegation to the UN Oceans Conference includes Minister of Blue Economy, Andre Perez, CEO Kennedy Carrillo, Director of Blue Economy Maxine Monsanto, and Senior Fisheries Officer Adriel Castañeda. Other delegates from the Office of the Prime Minister include CEO Narda Garcia, CEO Osmond Martinez, Cabinet Secretary, Stuart Leslie, and Beverly Wade, Director of the Blue Bonds and PFP. The delegation is completed by Nicanor Requeña of EDF and Elmer Rodriguez of the National Fishermen’s Cooperative.
