San Pedro man stabbed in the back during late night altercation

By Aaron Humes: News from San Pedro Town is that there was a stabbing on Sunday night that left a man, 33-year-old Efrain Campos, injured with multiple stab wounds to the back.

We understand that Campos was socializing with Canadian tourists when two men and a woman approached him demanding drinks and cigarettes.

Allegedly Campos told them he doesn’t smoke and the drinks were not his. The altercation began and Campos was punched several times, thrown face down on the ground and stabbed several times with broken pint bottle shards. He was taken to the town polyclinic and remains there in critical condition, although stabilized. Police investigations continue.
